After Rush's auction made over $4 million dollars for charity today, I was inspired to email some of the forty-one losers who signed the letter. Below is a copy of the letter that went to Harry Reid.
-----------------------------------------------------
Senator Reid,
I caught your comments on www.breitbart.com, and I wanted to share my reaction to your comments.
First, I was surprised that your claimed you couldn't get the other Democrats to sign the letter because there wasn't enough time. We all know that those other senators were smart enough not to make the mistake you did. I don’t usually like to make ad hominem attacks, but you must be embarrassed that he was outfoxed by Rush Limbaugh, a man without a college degree or public office, and a bunch of slow-witted, back-water, conservatives.
Also, I was also surprised that you were surprised that the letter made so much money. Actually, I was surprised that it didn’t make more because it really is a historic document. The forty-one of you tried to use your senatorial powers to limit the speech of a private citizen. In America. A country that celebrates freedom of speech. I hope you know cannot use your power anymore to limit debate in this country. You just cannot do it. You can no longer bully those who disagree with you in order to scare them away from the debate; your monopoly on the media is gone, and we see your un-patriotic and Stalinist methods for what they really are.
The conservatives are winning in this country. Your distortions and lies about SCHIP, the Iraq war, and the economy do not hold water anymore. We see them every day, documented, not by "right wing conspiracies," but by you, Democrats, in your own words. We see you on C-SPAN, we see you on youtube.com, we see your words in print outside the NYT (by the way, who buys that newspaper anymore?), and we see more than just the sound-bites you perfect for the evening news or The Today Show. John Public is not a stupid as you assume.
Will you please make an appearance on Rush’s show? Also, Rush is donating over $2 million dollars from his own pocket - will you or the other forty senators match his donations (maybe you can call Norman Hsu to collect some funds)? Don't you "support the troops," even though you don't like their mission? I really think that a donation of over $2 million dollars from your own pocket would really show how much you support the troops!
Finally, on a lighter note, I would also like to thank you. You pissed off so many conservatives, veterans, and military personal that that you will feel this backlash long after the mainstream media tries to drown out the story. Won’t it be wonderful when your candidate has to answer for your deceitful tactics and lies? I always hear you and Nancy Pelosi speak about how conservatives must “distance themselves from President Bush.” You, sir, along with your cohorts in the House and Senate have created a record of utter failure that will hang around the necks of members of your party like an albatross. Your party will never be able to distance itself from this self-inflicted fiasco or its record over the last months, ever.
Best Regards.
